Solo travel can be one of the most incredible and rewarding experience. It’s a way to get to know yourself while getting to know the world that exists around you.
Traveling with friends, family, or a partner can also be a great experience but when you’re on your own, you can do exactly what you want to do and you don’t have to make any compromises.

Downsides to Solo Travel?
However, when you’re traveling alone, you’re also going to be responsible for taking complete care of yourself, staying safe, and generally just being fully aware of your surroundings.
It’s a great way for people to develop their sense of independence, confidence, and to enjoy the wonders of travel in the process.
But you’ll want to make sure aware of some of the problems you can run into as well, and to take the necessary steps to mitigate them.

Some of the tips in this video are common-sense types of things that apply whether you’re in your home city, or anywhere else in the world for that matter. For example, one of the mistakes to avoid is to not walk alone at night in unfamiliar places like parks, or places where it’s not like, a busy street with a lot of people and such.
Many travelers want to get away from the tourist-y resorts and to experience the genuine article of where they’re traveling, but in some places, this can be very dangerous, to a point where the resorts themselves have their own security details to keep their visitors safe if they get too close to leaving the property on their own. You don’t have to be paranoid, but you will definitely want to keep your wits about you.
